Director of Human Resources and Administrative Operations
Pending approval on May 8, 2023, the Three Rivers Board of Education is excited to announce that Mr. Aaron Marshall has been recommended to serve as the Director of Human Resources and Administrative Operations for the Three Rivers Local School District, effective August 1, 2023. Superintendent, Dr. Mark Ault is making the recommendation after conducting a search that included having interview teams meet and screen twelve applicants from a pool of twenty-six qualified educators throughout Southwest and Central Ohio. Mr. Marshall is coming to Three Rivers from Cincinnati La Salle High School where he has served as the Chief Executive Officer/Principal for the last 7 years. Prior to that role, he served as the Principal of Wyoming High School from 2008 to 2016 with additional administrative and teaching positions at Fairfield High School and Sycamore Junior High School. Aaron has been a successful educator for the last 30 years and has demonstrated success in building positive relationships with all school community members.
“I am thrilled to be joining the Three Rivers District,” states Marshall, “I look forward to working with Dr. Ault and the outstanding Yellowjacket team as we build upon the success of the school community.” A native of northeast Ohio, Mr. Marshall began his career in education in 1993 as a teacher and coach at Wyoming Middle School. During his recent tenure at La Salle, Mr. Marshall worked collaboratively with the Board to establish a vision and measurable goals across all operative areas of the school including academic, personnel, finance, facilities, athletics, marketing, and public relations. Marshall earned his undergraduate degree in elementary education from Adrian College in Michigan and a master of education degree in educational leadership from the University of Cincinnati. He currently serves on several community outreach and non-profit organizations.
Aaron will be replacing Tom Olson who has served the District for the last three years in a consultant role through the Hamilton County Educational Service Center.

Math Adoption
Our middle school math department has been working all year on researching, reviewing, and piloting new math curricular resources for potential adoption for the 2023-2024 school year. After narrowing our choices down to two which we have been piloting since February, we are planning to recommend to the board HMH Into Math for grades 5-8 for approval starting next year.
Our high school math department also has been working on reviewing and aligning its curricular resources and is recommending for approval All Things Algebra for Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus. Statistics Informed Decisions Using Data 5e for Statistics and Flamingo Math for AP Calculus AB. All of these resources directly support teaching the Ohio Content Standards as our curriculum.
If you are interested in reviewing any materials before our May 8th board meeting, they will be available at CT Young from 8-3 pm on weekdays. Please contact Megan Rivet (mrivet@trlsd.org), Director of Teaching and Learning with any questions.
Open Enrollment Update
Each spring the Board of Education reviews the Three Rivers Local School District’s Open Enrollment Policy to ensure that we balance the needs of currently enrolled students and follow the Interdistrict Open Enrollment Policy.
Based upon current enrollment numbers and space constraints, Open Enrollment for Three Rivers Local School District will only be available for the 2023-2024 school year to families who currently have students enrolled in Three Rivers Local School District and are wishing to enroll an additional child. The additional child you are enrolling for the upcoming school year must be a sibling to the other child(ren) currently enrolled at Three Rivers Local School District.
Open Enrollment applications for non-residents (Ohio only) may be submitted online, via our website, beginning the first day in June through the last Friday in June. Only applications that have been fully completed, with supporting documentation, will be accepted.
A separate application must be submitted for each student (with siblings currently enrolled) who requests an interdistrict transfer.
Applications shall be considered on a first-come, first-served basis. For complete application guidelines, please click HERE. Please refer to our website for online applications beginning June 1, 2023.
