Dr. Looney's Message
First week back from Fall Break! We made it.
Now is the time to persevere. It's only a short time to Thanksgiving, then to Winter Break. Now is the time to make sure that we are keeping our grades UP: where want them to be at the end of the first semester. Don't wait to pull the grades up later.
Keep persevering. I promise you will see the fruits of your labor. Think about the big picture and where we are going. We have an amazing team of folks who are doing incredible work with teaching and learning. Encourage your child to take advantage of their expertise and care.

One Chip Challenge: Please Be Aware
There is another "One Chip Challenge" going around. We would like to strongly encourage you to keep your child away from this social challenge. It is an expensive, and unhealthy challenge. Children (and adults) are encouraged to spend an inordinate amount of money on a single chip which is extremely spicy. Some hospitalizations have been reported around this challenge.
Spotlight on Cafeteria
Today we are shining the spotlight on our amazing cafeteria staff. Led by Ms. Ife Ogwu. They have done an amazing job through the start of yet another challenging school year. We are so grateful to have them as part of OUR Community.

Have You Tried the Apps?
ParentVUE App
Parents can use this if they have a Parent Portal account. It's an app that makes it much easier to quickly access the portal and navigate student grades, absences, etc...
We strongly encourage you to use this if you have a portal account. If you don't have a portal account, come to the school and set one up.
Uninstall/Reinstall
If you are using either of these apps, but it quit working last month, you may need to uninstall/reinstall. There was a major update last month that requires this.
StudentVUE App
Students can install this on their iOS device (iPhone, iPad) or their Android device to more easily access the "My StudentVUE" portion of their portal: this includes, grades, missing assignments, etc.
