Principal's Update
It was great having our students back in the building and getting to meet so many families during Curriculum Night!
Our staff and students are ready for a fantastic year together. I will send out a newsletter every Friday, celebrating and detailing the many events happening at Oak Prairie. The most current/new information can always be found at the top of the newsletter and regular/older information is down at the bottom.
We are also excited to host our first student council event on September 8th! THE COLOR SPLASH!! See below for details and permission slip.

Cross Country
The cross country team had their first meet of the season at Bolingbrook Humphrey. Oak Prairie swept the four team titles. Gracie Kane, Lilly Barrett, Jake Greenan and Aurelia Carmona each won their races individually. The team's next meet is this Saturday at the Beecher Invite.
Softball
The girls softball team played several great games over the past few weeks and 2 players received a game ball for their performances. Here are a few player highlights:
Abby Szarzynski: Way to be aggressive up at the plate and start the OP rally!
Kallista Sarrazin: Absolutely outstanding up at the plate and in the field. There was nothing she couldn’t hit or catch!
Natalie Mickelson: 2 great catches in the outfield!
Fiona Spicher: Way to keep battling at the mound!
Kallista Sarrazin: Laid down a bunt that belongs on Sports Center!
Baseball
JD S drove in four runs on three hits to lead Oak Prairie Bulldogs past Lemont Old Quarry 13-1.
Oak Prairie Bulldogs scored eight runs in the second inning on the way to victory. Jimmy W doubled, scoring one run, Ty M singled, scoring one run, Chris Z singled, scoring one run, Noah B lined out, scoring one run, Kyle M grounded out, scoring one run, Wyatt S singled, scoring one run, and JD singled, scoring two runs.
Three more Oak Prairie Bulldogs runs crossed the plate in the fourth inning to extend the lead to 13-1. Kyle singled, scoring one run, and JD homered to left field, scoring two runs.
Noah earned the win for Oak Prairie Bulldogs. The right-handed pitcher surrendered four hits and one run over four innings, striking out five and walking one.
