Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Guardians,
What a great first two day! I am so thrilled to have welcomed all our students back to school. The energy and enthusiasm they brought to the classrooms was truly inspiring. Our dedicated team of teachers and staff has been working tirelessly to create a safe and nurturing environment where each child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
I encourage you to stay involved in your child's education by attending school events, parent-teacher conferences, and staying informed through our school's communication channels, such as newsletters, emails, and the school website. Working together, we can create a supportive community that positively impacts the lives of our students.
PLEASE REVIEW THE ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL PROCEDURES BELOW. THE SAFTEY OF OUR STUDENTS IS OUR #1 CONCERN DURING THOSE TIMES.
Warmest regards,
Emily Suess
Principal, Marshall Elementary

Counselor Corner
Dear Marshall Parents & Guardians,
At the start of each new school year, I like to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Emily Ghusson (rhymes with Tucson) and I am the counselor here at Marshall Elementary School! I am so very excited to work with your kiddos this year. I am passionate about helping young people grow into self-aware, resilient, and compassionate adults!
As a counselor in the school setting, I work with our students in several ways. I teach weekly classroom lessons on social-emotional topics, I run counseling small-groups for students in need of extra support, and I provide short-term individual counseling sessions for students who may need them. Of course, I am also here on campus to support our staff, students, and families in any way I can! It is my goal to help ensure all students at Marshall feel safe, happy, and cared for while at school and are ready to learn.
I will continue to share counseling-related news in our newsletter-- information about what our students are learning in counseling, and strategies for you to continue that learning at home. If you have questions, concerns, or just want to introduce yourself or your child, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
