Expansion of the LMC Website
We have expanded our LMC website once again!
The Teacher Resources page features:
- a link to submit a request for materials/assistance from the LMC
- my booking calendar
- an archive of the LMC Updates
The Student Resources Page now includes:
- Links to each team's Homework Hub
- Research guides and graphic organizers that are part of the GPS Research Process being taught in Digital Literacy
- A link to a Citation Guide that will help streamline student use of NoodleTools
- Great Reads, a list of some favorite titles by genre
Enjoy - and let us know if there are additional resources that you'd like to see on either of these pages!
Did You Know...
We have a few fabulous subscription databases that are perfect for geography-based research... CountryReports is one of them! By entering our typical WMS login and PW, your students have access to all kinds of cultural, population, and geographic data by country.
Students Citing Sources
Use NoodleTools for Citation!
NoodleTools is a robust yet simple tool that the district purchases for students for the purpose of creating citations... I will be teaching students how to use NoodleTools properly in their Digital & Media Literacy class in 6th and 8th grade, but would appreciate it if you could direct your students to do the same (rather than using the built-in Google Doc solution or other citation tools, which do not create MLA citations correctly) during your classroom work. This will give students the ability to consistently create quality citations; even better, they will be ready to use NoodleTools effectively when they get to the high school. (You could say, it is the way.)
Both teachers and students should login via Google SSO. If you'd like a little more info about how to use NoodleTools, just let me know - if enough people are curious, I'm happy to do a little session one day too!
Let's Collaborate!
Book some time with me in the LMC or in your classroom - with or without your kiddos, I LOVE to collaborate!
