The Irish dominated the 2nd period, outshooting the Lightning 12-2 and built a 2-0 lead with the only goal of the 2nd period being scored at 6:16 on the power play (PP). Eastview did have a 5 minute major PP during the 2nd period, during which they were only able to create 1 shot on goal. The Irish continued to carry play in the 3rd period, outshooting the Lightning 13-4, making it 3-0 at 6:25. The Irish added an empty net goal at 13:32 making the final score 4-0 and dropping Eastview to a record of 7-3 on the season. Goalie Jay Svaren’s #32 record also fell to 7-3 on the season. Final shots for the game were 34-14 in favor of Rosemount. Eastview has a huge game on Tuesday night vs. Minnetonka at the Apple Valley Sports Arena. At 14:50 of the 1st period the Wolfpack snuck a sharp angled shot by goalie Jay Svaren #32 to cut the lead to 2-1. Jordan Brothers #11 scored a very skilled even strength goal at 3:31 making it 4-1, the lone assist to Zach Wooten #9. Brothers appeared to stick handle around the entire Wolfpack team and calmly deposited the puck into the net. Graham Ellingson #22 scored his first high school goal of his career at 15:12 on a wrist shot from the sideboard, with an assist going to Tyler Cordes #6, making the score 5-1.
