This Week at Windsor...
#WEAREWINDSOR
December 22nd, 2022
Windsor Families,
We had a great spirit week this week at Windsor. We saw so many fun winter outfits. I hope you have a wonderful, relaxing winter break. We will see you in 2023!
To meet the ABC25 membership goal, Windsor still needs several more families to join. If you are able to, please click this link to join: abc25.org/donate. Also, check out the Nothing Bundt Cake fundraiser below.
Enjoy the snow and stay warm!
Happy New Year!

Staff Spotlight:
Amy Harder
Teaching multilingual students is my passion. This year marks my 23rd year teaching with 9 years being at Windsor. I have taught bilingual Spanish, middle school EL at South, multilingual, general education, and adult ESL. While NIU was my undergraduate home, NLU gave me my ESL and bilingual endorsements. My master’s in Educational Leadership was completed at Concordia, and I am currently completing a certificate in Learning Behavior Specialist through American College of Education.
When I am not teaching English, you can find me enjoying spending time with my family, doing homework, reading, or traveling. I have been married for 28 years to Chuck, have 3 grown children (ages 23, 23, and 21), and 3 crazy dogs.
Anna Bauer
My name is Anna Bauer and I am one of three multilingual teachers
at Windsor. I absolutely love working with students who
speak another language. This is my fifth year of teaching and
my fourth year teaching at Windsor. I speak Spanish and am a
certified bilingual Spanish teacher. I absolutely love the diversity
we have at Windsor School with over 20 home languages. I am
very excited to be running the Chicago Marathon this year for the first time on October 9th,
2022! Aside from running I also enjoy yoga, hiking, reading and traveling!
Dana McAndrew
My name is Dana McAndrew, and I am one of the three multilingual teachers here at Windsor. This is my second year at Windsor School, and I am so lucky to have my very own Kindergarten ML class in the morning and work with other ML students and various grades in the afternoon. The diversity at Windsor is truly special and I love every minute.
I am married to my husband, Ryan, and have a 5-month-old son, whom we named Breccan Daniel McAndrew.
This is my 8th year teaching, and I have a Masters in Early Childhood Education as well as an EL endorsement. I taught preschool for one year and 2nd grade for 5 years in Cicero, Illinois.
Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with my family and friends, going to concerts, trying new restaurants, cheering on the Chicago Blackhawks, traveling and going to Disney World any chance I get.
Stella's Station
A blizzard is on the way? Bring it on! If the wind and cold is too much for your kids to enjoy the snow, take a peek at this blog entry from Frugal Fun for Boys and Girls. It's the best one I've seen in teaching how to cut the perfect snowflake! And, if your family can't get enough of a Galaxy Far Far Away, and really want to up your snowflake game, check out Anthony Herrera Designs. This awesome dad has designed a bunch of different Star Wars themed snowflakes that your family can print and cut. I've tried them, they turn out awesome! He also has created patterns for Frozen, Guardians of the Galaxy and Harry Potter. Have fun playing in the snow over Winter Break, be it the real stuff or paper! ~Mrs. Stella
