Come Out for Family Fun
Holiday Event
Get ready for a fun-filled night for students and their families at the LES PTA's holiday event on Friday, December 8. There will be food trucks, a seasonal movie to enjoy in the gym, and shopping for gifts at our Penguin Patch Holiday Shop!
Penguin Patch Shop (5 - 8 p.m.)
Students and families may remember the Penguin Patch from previous years. This year, the Penguin Patch is ONLY being offered during this special holiday event and will not take place during school hours. This is an opportunity for students to shop for friends and family on their own in a special PTA-run shop where all gifts are $10 or less. For the shop, only cash or checks are accepted -- no credit cards.
Food Trucks (5 - 7 p.m.)
Local food trucks featuring tacos, Italian food and more will be set up in front of the school for you to purchase a tasty dinner. Be sure to come hungry!
Movie (6 - 8 p.m.)
We will be showing the 2019 animated film Abominable. Free popcorn and hot cocoa will be available to enjoy during the film. A coloring station will also be set up for kids and families to create holiday cards to send to overseas military service members.
*Don't forget your blankets for picnic-style dinner and to get comfy during the movie*
There is no entrance fee, but we welcome donations to support the LES Outreach program. Bring new personal/household goods (e.g. laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, & toiletries) to help support fellow Ospreys in need.
The holiday event is a volunteer-run event. There is still a need for volunteers during and after the event. Please help make this a special evening for students and sign up to assist at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050A4AAFAF2EA1FA7-45944001-holiday#/

Holiday Giving Tree
LES is sponsoring a giving tree for the holiday season. Families from our school community will be the recipients of your generous donations. We have made donating easy through an Amazon Shopping list. All the gifts purchased from this list will be delivered directly to LES and then will be distributed to the family. Please purchase your gifts with a "delivered date" no later than Tuesday, December 12th. We are asking if you are able, to please consider helping a family this holiday season.

Special Education Highlights
We think our special educators are especially talented in connecting with students and helping families navigate the school experience for children who are neuro-atypical.. Our special education staff includes teachers and paraeducators, school psychologist and therapists. If you or your child have had a noteworthy experience, consider shouting it out through this link below.
