Counselor's Corner

Scoliosis Screening for 5th Grade girls

In compliance with Health and Safety Code Chapter 37, girls will be screened for abnormal spinal curvature in the 5th grade.

*Girls will be seen separately and individually during the spinal screening.

*Girls are requested to wear a halter top, tube top, sports bra or two-piece swimsuit top under their shirt that day because they will be asked to remove their shirts in order for the spinal column to be thoroughly inspected by the screener.

A note is being sent home regarding this. Please notify the school nurse by December 4, 2023 if you have any questions or concerns.
