Prairie Derby

Prairie Middle School is hosting the Prairie Derby; a half-mile elementary school running race open to all Barrington 220 elementary students. No previous experience is necessary. Registration takes place on race day (cost is $5 per runner). Please arrive by 1:30 pm. The race begins at 2 PM on the Barrington High School track. Please direct questions to Prairie Track and Field Coach, Jim Bartlett, at jbartlett@barrington220.org

Big Hawk/Little Hawk Family Sports Night at Canlan

Calling all Hough students (K-5th), along with their parents, to spend an evening of fun sports activities at Canlan Sportsplex in Lake Barrington. Check-in starts at 5:30 and activities will take place from 6-8pm. The Canlan concession stand will be open for food/beverage purchases. Please be sure to register in advance.

We launched our new category for the month of April, Initiative and Self-Drive. We are defining Initiative as “making the decision to start something.” Self-Drive is defined as “Being motivated to finish a task once you’ve started, no matter how difficult.” Our students have been embracing this new challenge.
