Inspire, Create and Grow a Community of Lifelong Learners
NEWS FROM MRS. HAZARD, PRINCIPAL
Happy New Year SRES Families!
We have had a fantastic start to the new year! Students quickly got back into known routines leaving lots of time for learning. Well done, students!
All School Meeting this morning:
- Ask your student to sing Deep and Wide or the Good Morning song.
- Ask your student about our Winter Sports Expectations.
- Ask your student how to play the Find Your Animal Sound game and which sound they chose!
As you know Winter Sports begin on Tuesday!
- It is VERY important that students come prepared for their activity each week; otherwise, they may be sitting out while others are participating.
- We will not have time to make last-minute calls for missing items, so please double-check bags before leaving the house. Thank you!
- We could use more volunteer ski/snowboard instructors, especially beginning week 3. If are able to volunteer, please contact me asap (you will need to be fingerprinted). We are not able to buy additional instructor time from Okemo.
AM drop off:
- Drop off begins at 8am. Please directly supervise your student prior to then. (We have been noticing an increase in behavior as students wait in line; sometimes for more than 5 minutes prior to drop off.)
- Please DO NOT pass cars that are unloading. It makes for a very unsafe situation as students often get out of their car on the left side.
- Please drop your student off as quickly as possible.
Looking ahead:
- January 16th: No School; Martin Luther King Day
- January 17th: No School; In-Service Day
- January 18th: SRES PTO meeting at 3pm
- January 20th: Crazy Hat/Hair Day!
- Week of January 30th: Winter MAP assessment
Your children are AWESOME! Thank you for trusting us with their care and education. We are thankful to have your support!
Have a wonderful weekend.
Your partner in education,
Laura Hazard
