Weekly Wolf Call
October 16-20
Dear Scott Elementary School Community,
The unprecedented brutal terrorist attacks, abductions, and loss of innocent civilians in Israel and loss of innocent civilians in Gaza are unthinkable and deeply felt by members of our community. As the conflict escalates, we know that many of us are going through a significant amount of pain and uncertainty. We extend our deepest condolences to those who are impacted by these events.
At times like this, it is crucial for us as a community to stand together in denouncing terrorism and violence and express our unwavering support for human dignity. We firmly believe in the power of education and community to foster understanding and peace.
As always, we will care for our community’s children with space for students and staff who need support and resources. We recognize the importance of ongoing communication, building understanding, and educating students as global citizens and our leaders of tomorrow. We expect members of our school community to behave accordingly. We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or bias of any kind. We will respond immediately and appropriately if we become aware of any hate speech, no matter its form.
There are disturbing graphic and violent videos and photos that are circulating online. We invite all families to exercise caution and evaluate responsible use of social media while engaging in conversations at home with students about appropriate online behavior. This is an opportunity for our students to demonstrate who they are and who they want to be by avoiding spreading hate or content that may cause further pain.
We are committed to an environment focused on high academics and a culture of belonging where students feel safe, seen, heard, and respected. As a community, let us cultivate compassion, empathy, kindness, and shared humanity.
Tom Copley, Principal
Scott Elementary School
Listen up, folks! There's a Chipotle fiesta happening at the shiny new Tutt and Dublin location! For those who prefer to skip the line, use our code NF8Q79D and place your order online for pickup between 4-8pm. Don't forget to give the cashier a heads up about our event if you're purchasing in person.
Spread the word to all your best buds and family members! We're all about following the rules, so let's make sure everyone knows about our shindig beforehand to avoid any guest experience interference. Plus, the more people we bring in, the more our school benefits, with a whopping 33% of supporters' sales going straight to our wolf pack! Check those backpacks for the printed flyers we provided this week.
But wait, there's more! If you attend our spirit night, you'll have a chance to win a gift voucher valued at $40 for our upcoming Urban Air Spirit Night on Nov 16th. Just show us your Chipotle receipt from spirit night to claim your prize if your name is drawn.
Stay tuned for another chance to enter in the upcoming weeks. We'll spill all the juicy details soon!
Let us know you attended!
