📚Our Read Across Hale'iwa Week will be full of fun! Students are encouraged to dress up each day, but there is no need to buy anything new.

Students who dress up in the theme of the day will be entered to win a $10 gift card to our Scholastic Book Fair from our Book Fair Fairy! 📚

Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming our way (YAY!). Choosing their own books empowers kids and inspires them to become Bolder, Prouder, and Stronger Readers. AND—as always—every book they buy earns rewards for our school.

Here’s what you need to know about the Fair, which will take place from April 17-21 between 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM daily at the library conference room. Students will go with their class during the school day and parents are encouraged to come after school to shop with their child(ren). On Wednesday, April 19, we will remain open until 3:00 PM. All students who come with their parents on this day will receive a free ice cup, no purchase necessary.

Before the Fair, you can set up an eWallet for worry-free, cash-free purchases. Anyone can contribute! Share each child’s eWallet so friends and family can add funds and give your kids more books to enjoy.

If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop at our school’s Online Book Fair. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Your online orders will also benefit our school.

It's a great time for spring cleaning! Come to our Recycling Drive and bring items from the list below. Remember to drop off your HI-5 cans and bottles as well since funds raised go towards our school. We will be at the front of the school between 9:00 AM until 11:00 on Saturday, April 22.

Our parent night was a great success! We were so happy to see so many of our families participating and enjoying the different activities. We appreciate all of your continued support!

We are currently learning about what it means to be a community in our classroom. The students have been learning and understanding their role in their community (classroom, campus, town they live in, etc.) As a class, students came up with a weekly goal in which we could work on together. We wrote our weekly goal on the board and practiced and discussed how our goal is part of caring for our classroom and why it is important. We also assigned classroom jobs to students to allow them to feel the importance of helping and keeping our classroom in order. Jobs such as bringing in our outdoor cart, watering our garden beds, and collecting our leftover food for the piggies were just some of the important jobs students have been assigned to! They love being able to help, and feel so proud and accomplished when they are able to complete their duties!

Kindergarten has been doing Kapla challenges for stem activities. With the generous donation from donors choose our class was able to purchase a thousand pieces of Kapla blocks. We recently did a challenge where the students had to build the tallest tower. The students did an amazing job at figuring out how to build the towers not only tall but sturdy. We can’t wait to do more challenges as the year continues.

Hazel Heart may support our students and families with supplemental behavioral health assessments for early identification and screening by licensed mental health therapists.

They offer a student assistance program with short term teletherapy sessions, with scheduled visits and provide evidence-based counseling, stabilization, treatment planning, and pyschoeducation by staffed licensed mental health therapists which will include a network of local community-based providers.

Also available is consultation support for school staff for students that are in crisis, thus, providing on-demand clinical consultation and de-escalation strategies by licensed clinical supervisors.

For students that may need long-term care beyond the 6 sessions, the family resource manager assists the student and family with transitional support to longer-term care options and continues to do periodic ongoing monitoring for 6 months.
