They will learn things like how to keep their own heart, brain and lungs strong, how to save a life with Hands-Only CPR (on a dummy and only grades 3-5 will be learning this hands on portion), the warning signs of a stroke and ways to de-stress. We will do a variety of fun healthy heart fitness activities learning about heart rates and how the heart works !

Let's Raise Another TON!
The 17th Annual Lester Park March Food Drive will run from March 1-28 at our school. We will be collecting non-perishable food and money for the Union Gospel Mission in Duluth.
They are mostly in need of canned vegetables and canned fruit.
Lester Park School has become one of the largest donors for the Union Gospel Mission. We are hoping you will help us continue this amazing service project for the people in Duluth. With your donations, we can do this!
Students will place their donation in the food boxes provided in their classroom. All money donations should be placed in the marked envelope in their classroom then turned into the office.
HELP US REACH OUR GOAL OF ONE TON (OR MORE) OF FOOD FOR THE UNION GOSPEL MISSION. Thank you! Lester Park School
Lester Park Grandparents' Day - March 7
On Thursday, March 7th, we will have the Lester Park Grandparents' Day where grandparents and special friends of students will be invited to visit the school. The event will be held during the morning during specific times designated by grade. These times will be published soon.
Cookies will be provided by our wonderful Lester Park PTA.
We will have volunteers around the building making sure our guests can find the classrooms. If you would like to volunteer, please email tracy.thompson@isd709.org.
Due to the large amount of people expected, we will again have overflow parking at the One Life Community Church located at 51st Ave E & Glenwood St. Unfortunately the bus shuttle will not begin until after 8:45am due to bus driver shortages.
