Mask changes:

On Tuesday, the Board of Education adopted a "mask recommended" status starting next Monday for Kindergarten through 2nd grade students. Here are some things to keep in mind with regard to the change:

On the bus, students must still wear a mask.
In music class, students still need to be masked.
Students will still remain distanced while in their desks and in the cafeteria.

Please be sure your child knows your expectation in terms or wearing his/her mask. If he/she is wearing one, it should fit properly and be washed regularly. The school cannot supply masks.

Since there will be instances that your child must be masked, like music, he/she will still need to carry a couple in his/her backpack. Please consider putting them in a baggie with your child's name clearly indicated.

Hopefully this is a positive step toward returning to the school we all remember. There will be a little bit of a learning curve as we all adjust. Your support is appreciated.

Rap a Tap Tap Here’s Bojangles-Think of That! written by Leo and Diane Dillon is a toe tapping, rhyming story loosely based on the life of Bill “Bojangles” Robinson. The afterword describes a little more about who he was and what his lifetime accomplishments were. Did you know that on May 25, 1989 Congress declared it as National Tap Dance Day in his honor? Flossmoor Public Library has a copy on it’s shelf for checkout.
