A note from Lifetouch
Lifetouch has had a significant decrease in staffing like most companies and are doing their best to climb out of COVID and make this a profitable year. Because of that, they will not be able to set up retakes this year. They do offer a 100% money-back guarantee on all orders so families can still purchase with confidence and get a full refund if they are unhappy with the pictures.

Students Providing Breakfast for Hungry Students
Recently, I sat with a group of BASE students as they voted to spend $1500 to provide breakfast for hungry classmates. Just before they voted, I asked if hunger was really a problem here. Were kids not getting breakfast because they lacked food or was it just because they were getting up late? Even before I had completed my question, the BASE students--all of them--were nodding their heads yes--hunger is a problem in Wrangell. I believe them.
We have 50 students in high school and middle school who qualify for free or reduced lunch, a federal program that feeds hungry kids. Our school program takes care of lunch, but is not able to tackle the problem of kids coming to school hungry. Thank goodness that we have students who recognize the problem and are stepping up to solve it. Unfortunately, the need is greater than the students can cover. $1500 does not last long when divided among 50 kids. BASE students are doing their part, and I suspect that as the year progresses and they raise more money, they will continue to provide this type of help. But if you would like to show your support for their efforts, you can donate by clicking on the button below.
Thank You.
