USMS Summer Long Course Nationals, Mission Viejo, California:
What an awesome week of swimming for Bob McAdam, John Decker and Carolyn Moore in Mission Viejo! Many great swims......15 medals total, 4 state records broken, and 2 first place wins (bob - 100 and 200 breast!)!!!! The facility was amazing and the pool was fast! We connected with many of our swim friends across the U.S. and met new friends as well. John and Carolyn even got a picture with famous Olympian (Anthony Ervin)! Highlight of the week: the smile on Bob’s face when he won the 100 and 200 breast and having his brother there to cheer him on. It has been a lifelong dream for him to win both of these events at this particular pool! Who is in for next summer’s (2020) Long course Championship in Richmond, Virginia???
Fina World Masters Championships, Gwangju, Korea
Ken Cooper: Ken competed with his team, Fastlane from Hong Kong. "I had a great time and swam pretty fast. In all, I swam in 7 events (3 individual and 4 relays) and finished as follows with PB in all my individual events and 2 podium finishes.
100 Breaststroke: 1:13.66 (5th place medal and HK Record)
50 Fly: 28.46 (7th)
200IM: 2:38.6 (14th)
200 Mix Medly Relay: 50 Breaststroke: 32.52 (relay start) (4th place medal)
4x50 Mens Free Relay: 50 Free: 25.74 (relay start)
Such a well organized and fun event and super important to be part of a team. It made all the difference. I made some new friends too in Ryo Ryosuke Imai, Hideaki Hara and Takatsugu Oga, all WR holders!
World Triathlon Championships Grand Final, Switzerland

He mentioned "the swim felt good and I felt strong breaking away from the pack and then just kept it steady and strong to the finish"......Way to go Ross!

Adult Learn to Swim Participant
Kembryle Carr participated in our Adult Learn to Swim program this past spring. She was excited to report back to Greenville Splash that she went on a cruise this summer with her family and it was the first time she could swim. She got to go in the pool with her grandchildren and went swimming in the ocean and even went snorkeling.

Make a Difference
Thank you so much to all of our swimmers that volunteer for Greenville Splash! Your efforts help to make our community safer in the water and provide fitness and competition activities for swimmers. We hosted the Dixie Zone LCM Championships where swimmers came to compete all from all over the southeast. We have taught over 215 adults how to swim! It's a great feeling of giving back to our fellow swimmers around the country.
