CTE Summer Accelerator

Onslow County Schools Career and Technical Program is pleased to announce the launch of its CTE Summer Accelerator Program. This is for students who will enter 8th grade during the 2022-2023 school year!

THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER EXTENDED THROUGH WEEKEND!

This three-week program runs Monday through Thursday and is designed to expose your student to three areas of interest with fun hands-on activities:

Construction Trades - Health Science - Foods/Hospitality/Agriculture

Dixon High School

Jacksonville High School

Richlands High School

Swansboro High School

REGISTRATION DEDADLINE IS NOW MAY 15TH.

Parents will receive notification of program acceptance, or wait-list status, following the registration deadline. Site Coordinators will continue to be in touch with registered and wait-list students and families with program details through the end of the school year.

SUMMER CAREER ACCELERATOR PROGRAM will help students build friendships, interact with caring adults, and gain an excitement for exploring future high school courses and career options they may not have previously considered.

Students will be assigned to one of three groups. Each group experiences a different program area each week. Activities are designed to be hands-on. The week concludes with a field trip related to that program area on Thursday. Groups transition to a new program area the following week.
