Elementary and Middle School students are invited to join the Winter Wonderfun on December 5 in the auditorium from 12:30 - 2:00. We will have 6 stations of crafts, hot chocolate and snacks. It will be fun for all!

The SD Legion Rugby team will be on campus next Wednesday, December 6 from 12:00-2:45. They will give instruction on how to play Flag Rugby during lunch and during both of our PE classes. All students are welcome and encouraged to participate.

MEA's Theater Company (MEATCo) will have another production this year, and we are looking for students interested in acting in it and being a part of stage crew. If you would like to audition or express your interest in doing stage crew work, please fill out the attached form.

Auditions will close on December 6th. We are looking forward to putting on another amazing show!

Come and join Ally Action and the Mental Health Club as we come together to paint rocks to continue the process of beautifying the Mount Everest Academy campus.

The School Site Council (SSC) and School Governance Team (SGT) will be meeting this Wednesday, Dec. 6th, at 2:00 pm, in Room 2.

High School Winter Semi-Formal December 7th. Calling all MEA high schoolers! The Winter Semi-Formal dance will be held in the Auditorium, on Thursday, December 7th, from 7:00-9:00 pm. Tickets are $25, no tickets will be sold the day of the dance. Each student may bring one non-MEA student. Light refreshments will be provided at the dance. Attire is semi-formal, but make sure to wear something you can dance in!

The dance will include some outdoor activities: chess, corn hole, connect four, etc. Thirty tickets must be sold, get your ticket TODAY!

Tickets are available to purchase, parents sign into your school cash account. All attendees will need a completed Permission Slip. MEA students can complete theirs online while purchasing ticket(s). Non-MEA guests must complete a hard-copy of the Permission Slip (also available in the office) to participate in the event, forms can be turned in at the office or at the event.

We've all gotten tired of hearing the same songs at every school dance ever. Please fill out this Google form to request songs you want to hear our DJ play at winter formal!

Rocketry Club has made huge strides in the last couple of months. They raised over $700 for supplies through DonorsChoose and completed 2 launches of their rocket. They continue to analyze data they recorded from their launches to make further improvements.

Pactful champions Malia Wilke, Miranda Martien, and Elizabeth Young recently graced the pages of San Diego Family magazine, showcasing their innovative solution to reduce smoke exposure in third-world countries grappling with inadequate ventilation. Dive into the magazine to discover their inspiring journey and visit their GoFundMe page to contribute to the momentum of their impactful project!

Sign ups are finally open for the Tech Exploration class! This course is meant for students in grades 3-6, who have a passion for all things tech. Tech Exploration is designed to provide students with engaging hands-on experience with various STEM related subjects. Some topics to be covered include: LEGO Robotics, 3D printing and design, electronics, coding and more.

The course will be held on Thursdays, Weeks 1 & 3, from 12:30-1:30, in the MakerSpace. Classes will start when we come back from Winter Break, in Month 5, with the first classing being on January 4th. Space is somewhat limited and students must be signed up to attend. Lunch supervision will be available to students that have elementary classes on Thursday mornings.

Hey everyone! Exciting news - Yearenders is getting ready to plan prom! We need your help to decide on our theme. Join in the fun and fill out this form to help make this year's prom the best one ever!

We are currently recruiting all San Diego County high school students for our SDCOE/UCSD Gaming Mentorship program. In this mentorship students will learn about:

• Careers in Esports
• Resume Building
• Healthy gaming habits
• Introduction to college gaming
• How to be successful in college or careers while enjoying gaming

The mentorship program will start in January 2024. Meetings will be held virtually every two weeks in the evenings. Here is the registration link for students to use to sign up. The deadline to register is December 22 at 5 p.m.

If you want to borrow SAT/ACT/AP Subject Matter STUDY MATERIALS, please visit the library, and ask for assistance to find the material to match your needs.

Mt. Everest Academy students have the opportunity to reschedule their tests, outside of scheduled class time, to be proctored by a staff member in B15. Students will require permission from their class teacher, before requesting to test in B-15. Requests should be made no later than 24 hours before your requested testing time.

Sarah is a Computer Engineering major and a first-generation college student. Sarah will be on campus on Wednesdays:

Join us for PALS , peer tutoring and schoolwork collaboration, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at MEA! PALS is available to all students in grades K-12. Elementary parents need to complete the PALS Check-in form and provide it to the PALS supervisor. This form lets our tutors know what assignment or skills you wish your student to work on while attending PALS.
