Music in Our Schools Month
Happy April - Hard to believe we only have a couple of months to go before the end of school. As we continue to rehearse for our spring concerts, we have a few LLMEA events taking place this month. On April 18th, we will be celebrating our graduating seniors, retirees, and teachers of the year at our annual Honors Banquet at the Eden Resort. Yes, you will get home in plenty of time to pack for PMEA and chocolate mousse will be served. If you are participating in the banquet, please check your email for a message from Scott Siegel regarding the slideshow presentation.
On April 29th, Alicia Trescavage will be hosting the first middle school song fest at Pequea Valley. And coming up on May 3rd, the executive board will be holding it's annual meeting at the Bulls Head Pub in Lititz. All of next year's festival and fest hosts should be in attendance at this meeting. If any hosts can't make it, please get in contact with Melodie Fair, president, (mfair@elcosd.org) to let her know.
Next week is the annual PMEA conference at Kalahari Resort in the Poconos. Congratulations to all of the students representing LLMEA in the state honors ensembles!
Good Luck with all of your spring concerts!

County Band North Festival
This year's county band north festival was a musically rewarding experience. Special thanks to Steve Goss for hosting this event at Ephrata High School. The 110 middle school students learned a lot from guest conductor Mike Kamuf.
LLMEA Adjudication Festival
Our annual adjudication festival held at Millersville University was a huge success! 23 different ensembles from Lancaster/Lebanon counties participated in this educational endeavor. Special thanks to Scott Muenz (Cedar Crest) for organizing this festival as well as our distinguished adjudicators Dr. Brian Norcross, Dave Cooper, Dr. Jim Colonna, Dr. Joe Cernuto, Jenny Neff, Mark Wagner, Mark Williams, and Dr. Alan Mudrick. If you are interested in participating in this festival next year, keep your eyes open for an invitation this fall. The festival will take place in early March during Millersville University's spring break.
