Good evening!

I am so excited for next week. We are heading into Success Advisory on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (This week it is Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday because of the ILearn Readiness Test). We have gathered some test data, added some teacher input, and put in a whole lot of teamwork, so that we are able to shuffle students into groups for extra practice on skills already taught. We will follow this pattern for about 8 weeks from now until Spring Break.

This is a giant undertaking and the staff have stepped up to the challenge and the students seem ready to go. Schmucker is making an IMPACT.

We had Grade Level Meetings this past week and students earned IMPACT awards for the second quarter. Impact awards are for students that make a positive impact on the class community and show great growth. Congratulations to our recipients.

We have a fun game for teachers this month. We have hidden rubber ducks for them to find, and If they find one, they can turn them into the office for a snack. If you would like to donate chip bags, candy bars, cookie pack, whole fruit, or water bottles to the effort, it would be greatly appreciated. It's a way to show our LOVE for teachers in February.

Ilearn Readiness Test is on Thursday, February 8th. Please have your child to school on time and ready with a charged chromebook.

We're happy to introduce you to P-H-M bus driver Greg Trytko as the inaugural Culver's Bus Driver of the Month!!! Greg drives Bus #117 for Moran Elementary School. Greg is a '78 Penn grad and has been with P-H-M going on seven years. Greg is praised for his positive attitude and his willingness to cover extra routes when needed. So far this school year, he has completed 41 field and athletics trips--adding up to almost 250 hours! We are beyond grateful for Greg. Thank you to Culver's and the P-H-M Education Foundation for being partners in recognizing our valued school bus operators.
