Student Government Gives Back
PBIS Surveys
Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS) is an implementation framework for maximizing the selection and use of evidence-based prevention and intervention practices along a multi-tiered continuum that supports the academic, social, emotional and behavioral competence of all students. Ultimately, as a district, we are integrating initiatives for a safe and positive school climate.
Expectations
An essential component of PBIS is establishing clear expectations. School communities identify 3 to 5 school-wide overarching behavioral expectations that align with the mission of the school and guide behavior for all settings and situations for staff and students. Refer to the picture for Shawnee's expectations.
What's Next?
Three surveys have been created: one for staff, parents, and students. This survey is to gain information about the needs of students and staff in our school. This information will be shared with the PBIS committee. The goal of this survey is to identify any needs so that they can provide a safe and productive school environment. The surveys will be sent Wednesday, April 6th. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Click here for more PBIS information.
