Meeting Minutes Dec 9 2023
Principal’s Update
- Rosie thanked Janine and Christina Shea for all their support while she was out.
- She shared the donations of food Blocks was able to make to Daniels table. We delivered 613.70 POUNDS of food!
- December 22 will be PJ day at Blocks
- Some caregivers had questions about next year’s schedule at Blocks, there will be no school on Wednesdays at BLOCKS next year, but Rosie is considering and working with little explorers to possibly offer a program on Wednesdays.
- A 4 day full day program will be for 4 year olds, (pre-K).
- A 4 day half day program will be offered to 3 year olds, (preschool).
- Morning Session: 8:15 AM - 10:55 AM
- Afternoon Session: 11:35 AM - 2:15 PM

PTO planned fundraisers
- BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse fundraiser for January 4 from 4 to 11 PM
- Uno’s January 26 and February 2.
- We are currently trying to organize other fundraisers at Jam-time and Snip it’s before picture day.
Flyers for all the fundraisers will be sent home with students and posted in the teachers lounge. We are hoping to get them translated to Portuguese and Spanish.
- The PTO is also working on ordering new T-shirts, as inventory is low. One idea was to have a Student design contest for the new T-shirts. Rosie said she will speak to theteachers/staff about this and get their thoughts of how this would work.
- Another fundraiser option discussed was personalized gifts for family members with students artwork, art to remember program.
