Mavericks Are Back In the Library.

Students were in the library with their English teachers during the second week of school. They learned library procedures, enjoyed a scavenger hunt, and had the opportunity to check out books!

CAMPUS HIGHLIGHTS

For the 9th year in a row, Linda Jobe Middle School has earned Energy Star Bldg Certification for efficiency and high air/light quality. Way to go, Mavericks!

DRESS CODE

Here are a couple of important dress code reminders about the most frequent dress code violations we see on campus:

Leggings, yoga pants, spandex, or tights cannot be worn as pants.
Spandex, tights, leggings/jeggings, and yoga style clothing will be allowed only if they are worn under pants, shorts, skorts, dresses, and skirts that are fingertip length front and back all the way around. (No long t-shirts, sweatshirts, or jackets tied.)
Holes in pants, skirts, etc. cannot be above fingertip length.
Dresses, skirts, skorts, and shorts length must measure fingertip length front to back all the way around while sitting and standing. (This includes holes in pants.)

If a student’s grooming or clothing violates the school’s dress code, the student will be given an opportunity to correct the problem at school. If not corrected, the student may be assigned to in-school suspension for the remainder of the day, until the problem is corrected, or until a parent or designee brings an acceptable change of clothing to the school. Repeated offenses may result in more serious disciplinary action in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.
