It's amazing, week 2 and we have hit the ground running. High school picture day was this week with elementary set for September 12. Principal's Message...
Week 2 is in the books at Tustin Connect and it's been amazing!! We continue to see so many smiling faces, and great things happening. We've got drawing and painting class at the HS, outdoor PE at the K-5 campus, and absolutely terrific instruction and learning happening. This week was picture day round 1 at the high school with all students getting into the groove with instruction, assignment sheets and pacing. Our awesome counselor, Mrs. Wijnhamer conducting lessons at all levels this week with an introduction to counseling. We are super excited for all the great things coming our way this year. We have English Language Advisory Council this Monday at 8:30 am at the K-8 campus, Principal/Counselor coffee Thursday, September 8th and Trunk or Treat is coming October 27th. Right now is our PTA Maverick 180 drive. Please support our PTA and the programs at TC by joining today.
This week's background features students from our Drawing and Painting class getting in some practice time after some teacher time with Mrs. Fairburn.

Hello Maverick Families,
We are off to a great start! Students are on campus, learning, growing and thriving!
PTA was able to provide an amazing Back to School Luncheon for teachers and we are organizing field trips and events for students, staff and families.

Please support our school by helping us raise $5000. We had a generous donation of $1800. With your help we can reach our goal of $5,000 by August 31st. This is our only fundraiser for the year. Elementary Information

Picture Day Coming Soon: Picture day is September 12th from 8 -12 noon on the K-8 campus. Our new company is awesome! Great pictures at more affordable prices.
Additional Support: Please continue to communicate with your child's teacher. We have lots of additional slots available at this time if your child is struggling with the format, content, or getting into the groove. We are here to help!
Middle School Information
Stay on Track: One of the critical keys to success is staying on track and not falling behind. Continue to support your students by checking in with them, checking their work and communicating with their teacher. Positive habits established at the beginning of the year are a key to long and short term success.
Weekly Schedule: Be sure not to miss a class by checking the weekly schedules available on our website or via this link. 6-8.
Save the Date for Picture Day: Picture day will be September 12th from 8 -12 noon on the K-8 campus. Student will receive their IDs that same day. Our high school day went incredibly smooth and the new company is awesome!!!
Parent Schoology Accounts: A great way to keep track of your students assignments is by creating a Parent Schoology account. If you have not done so, check out this How to Video.
High School Information
11th Grader PSAT REGISTRATION: Saturday, October 15, 2022
Each year, TUSD administers the PSAT to all interested 11th grade students. This is a FREE Practice SAT given to all 11th grade students. Participation in the exam not only gives you practice for the SATs and gives you results so you know what to study, but it also makes you eligible for many scholarships including the National Merit Scholarship.
The PSAT is only offered to 11th grade students who register for the exam. The exam will take place at Tustin Connect on Saturday, October 15, 2022.

TUSD Resource Sora Summer Read
Sora Sweet Reads in an annual summer reading program designed for schools to encourage students to keep reading all year long. "Check out" the free collection of simultaneous use juvenile and young adult ebooks (and select audiobooks).
Login to Sora to access these and many any other great ebooks and audiobooks all summer long through Clever, TUSD Student Portal or soraapp.com using your TUSD Google login and password.
