Dear OMS Families,

Earlier today you may have read in the District 25 Dish that we have begun the work to implement a hybrid model. Dr. Bein mentioned that "As we dig into the details of our plan, it has become apparent that we need more time to make sure that our students will receive a level of instruction on the days that they are at home that mirrors the instruction they will receive when they are on-site. Our staff will continue to work on the details of a hybrid model that can be provided with fidelity for all learners."

Many families have already reached out to us with questions regarding the hybrid model. As noted above, the plan is a work in progress and we are unable to answer specific questions at this time. As soon as there is a solid plan in place information will be shared by the Department of Student Learning.

We know that it can be frustrating to not have this information and ask for your continued patience as we continue to iron out the plans for a successful Hybrid Transition.

All students are required to be attending school. If your child is ill or unable to attend any portion of the day please contact our school office to report the absence.

Please click HERE to record absence information using our online form which is located on our school website on the Absence page.

You may also call our office to report an absence. This year, when you call our school’s main line at 847-398-4282, you will initially hear an auto attendant. Press “1” to report the absence.

Please provide the following information when calling in a student’s absence.

• Student’s name and grade
• Teacher’s name/section number
• Reason for absence - including symptoms associated with illness
• Duration of absence – morning, afternoon, or for the entire day
