There are many ways to access Sora

Click HERE to find out how to download the free Sora app onto your mobile device or to access Sora on your desktop or laptop computer. We have the best ebooks and audiobooks in here, waiting for you to borrow! No need to have internet access to listen or read once you download the books for the lending period. (You must be logged into your hpschools.org account to access the above link as our username and password are private).


High School Students: This is basically the new interface and platform as Overdrive, and soon it will switch to just Sora, although Overdrive is still up and running. Same collection--there are wonderful YA titles in here (Sora AND Overdrive). Same username and Login. If you can't remember how to access Sora or Overdrive, search your email for "Overdrive" and find step-by-step instructions (or just use the flyer above for Sora and it's the same for Overdrive)

Other Ebook & Audiobook collections provided by our school district

Junior Library Guild: access to a rotating collection popular ebooks and audiobooks, multi-user access (read the same book as a friend or a group!)
No need to enter any personal information.


MyOn: popular e-books (with read-aloud option) for K-6. Access by signing in to Star Reading! Same user name and password, and the books are all there!


Mackin Via: (middle school & high school) Several titles of popular and classic e-books from which to choose. Read right from your browser, or download the Mackin Via Backpack to borrow books just like with Overdrive/Sora. Username, password, and directions HERE.


Tumblebooks: (Pre-K-6) A library of great picture books with read-aloud feature (optional) and many "read-alongs". Here is information on how to access these books, which are multi-user and no need to download an app.


Teen Book Cloud: A library of e-books for middle school & high school students with read-aloud options with no need to download an app. Specializing in classics, some popular fiction, graphic novels, and hi-lo books (books with low reading level but high/teen interest level). Read with a friend, family member, or as a book club, as you can all borrow the same book at once! Access using these instructions for Tumblebooks, but look for HPMS & HPHS for specifics.

Order your books, audiobooks, videos, and more from Midyork.org & arrange to have it delivered to the trunk of your car at your local public libarry!

Get your card at midyork.org to order tangible items for pickup OR access Midyork's vast collection of e-books, videos, and audiobooks by adding the Midyork library to your Sora/Overdrive app or account using your SCHOOL credentials, even if you don't have a public library card!
