This year the Mary Martin Library is again offering you the opportunity to donate a "Birthday Book" to the school library in honor of your child's birthday (or any other special occasion). This is a chance to provide a lasting memorial of a very important part of your child's education at Mary Martin.

Here is how the program works:

Your child brought home a bright pink form for "Birthday Book Club" and you will also receive one during the month of your child's birthday, reminding you of the program. You can return it any time and when it's your child's birthday, they will receive their book!

Fill out the form and return it with a check for $15.00. Your child will be called to the library on their birthday to choose a book that he or she would like to donate.

A bookplate honoring your child will be placed in the front of the book and your child will be the first to be able to check out the book. The book will remain on the shelves as a designated "Birthday Book", available for checkout for many years to come.

Because of WISD library selection policies, there will be plenty of new books available in the library from which to choose.

Please consider participating in this program. This can send a powerful message to our students - that reading and books are valuable to our school community!
