Principal's Letter
Dear Lions,
I would first and foremost like to thank all the students, staff, and families for a great first couple of weeks of school. It has been such a pleasure to meet the students and the families, and I look forward to continuing to get to know each of you more throughout the school year. I truly appreciate all the families who have and continue to support St. Helen’s, whether that be in the classroom, with fundraising, or extra curricular activities we thank you!
These next few weeks are going to be filled with exciting activities. Girls volleyball and boys flag football started practice after school Tuesdays and Thursdays with our fantastic PE teacher Mr. Rocha. If you like to volunteer as a coach for either of these sports please reach out to the front office or Mr. Rocha. Choir now has practice on Mondays with our amazing music teacher Mr. Ruperto. We are starting our Penny Wars competition this month and will conclude through the middle of December. We also have Grandparents Day and Alumni Mass in the next coming weeks.
PTO (parent teacher organization) will be meeting each month. We are excited to have some amazing families and staff involved in PTO to help provide our students with a positive experience here at St. Helen’s. If you would like more information on how to be involved in PTO please reach out to myself or the front office.
Fall pictures are coming up, so please be on the lookout for more information on how to order pictures. This information will be sent home with your student. At the end of this month we will be recognizing those students who exhibited what it means to be a respectful Lion’s student at our Virtue Awards.
Families and friends we continue to invite you to join our students and staff at Mass each Wednesday at 9:15am. We are living the mission that Christ had for our Catholic School as we all come together and pray as a school community. If your 4th-6th grade child is interested in being an altar server there will be a meeting and practice on September 7th at 2:30pm, students must be Catholic. If you are an adult and interested in becoming a Eucharistic minister please meet at St. Anthony’s Church on September 7th at 3:00pm for a short meeting.
I am truly excited about what the coming year has in store for us. Let us embrace every challenge as a chance to grow and every achievement as a testament to our collective dedication. Let's make it a year of inspiration, achievement, and memorable moments!
Respectfully,
Kristi MacIsaac
