Springmill STEM Family Update
March 5, 2023
Hello STEM Families!
It has been such a beautiful weekend. My dogs are loving the mud in the backyard, but my carpet, not so much. It's just that time of year!
We have an exciting week coming up! This Wednesday is our second family activity night - Math Mystery Night! I hope to see everyone there. All current students and families are invited - there will be mysteries to solve, food and prizes! Wednesday evening begins at 5:30, but if you can't get there right at that time, come when you can. We will have food and activities through 6:30pm.
On Wednesday, you will also be able to complete the interest form for your student to attend STEM next school year. All current and future students need to fill out the form.
We are celebrating Women's History Month in March, including morning announcement facts, bulletin boards, and classroom projects. We are looking for speakers, if you know of anyone that would be willing to speak to our students about women in America's history.
Finally, this is the LAST week of the 3rd nine weeks! There is no school for students on Friday, March 10. Enjoy another long weekend!
Thank you,
Cara Will
Principal - Springmill STEM
Announcements
Springmill Family Math Mystery Night
We have a fun night planned for students and families, including, solving mysteries using math, dinner, and prizes.
As classes fill up, we will place students in the order in which we receive the completed form.
For NEW students, including kindergarteners and siblings of other students that have already attended, after you fill out the interest form, you will need to meet with the principal and tour the school before officially registering. We want to make sure you know how Springmill STEM is different from the other elementaries and our student expectations. Springmill is an educational option in Mansfield City School District for students interested in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. The learning process is based on STEM processes and focuses on developing the skills students need to be successful in 21st century jobs. If your student is curious, creative, and a problem solver, this might be the right place.
