Viewing Report Cards and Progress Reports

See the directions below, and be sure to get those signatures in! In addition, parents are encouraged to regularly view grades in Skyward.

Habit Heroes
During the 4th six weeks, Shady Grove teachers will be looking for students who exhibit Steven Covey's Habit #5, Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood!
"Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood means that it is better to listen first and talk second. By taking the time to listen to another person, you reach a higher level of communication. Teaching Habit 5 to young children is done by first considering their age and development. Young children find it difficult to understand another’s paradigm (point of view). This habit is best approached by introducing listening as a skill that should be practiced. Learning to listen without interrupting and learning to listen with your ears, your eyes, and your heart will help children build a foundation for Habit 5. Simply put, we have two ears and one mouth so that we can spend more time listening with the intent to understand." http://bovinaelementary.weebly.com/habit-5-seek-first-to-understand.html
Attendance Incentive for the 5th Six Weeks!
The 5th six weeks is a clean slate and brings a new opportunity to earn the 5th six weeks incentive which is BUBBLES and CHALK! Students who have no more than 1 absence OR one tardy earn the incentive!

SGE Attendance Tracking
SGE's ADA for this past week was 94.44%! This is the highest attendance we've had in SIX weeks!
ADA stands for Average Daily Attendance and is defined as the total days of student attendance divided by the total days of instruction. "98 IS Great!", so 98% is our goal!
