Students who are not eligible for free or reduced-priced meals must pay for their meals. See Meal Prices. Parents and guardians can easily monitor and add funds to student meal accounts using MySchoolBucks.
Math Corner
Emphasizing the M in CMIT!
In math class, scholars are expected to show their work and not just provide their answers, engage in discourse and writing to math tasks. This process assist scholars when it they are prompted to explaining their reasoning or modeling. Reasoning and Modeling tasks are in the curriculum as well as on the MCAP Math assessment. To support at home, have your scholar explain how they solved one of their problems (basic computation or word problem).
Definition:
1) Mathematical Reasoning- is an evolving process of conjecturing, generalizing, investigating why, and developing and evaluating arguments.
-2) Modeling- is the process of choosing and using appropriate mathematics to analyze real-world situations, to understand them better, and to improve decisions.
*If your scholar could benefit from multiplication or division practice, this is a good website to utilize https://webmathminute.com/.

AWESOME SEASON!
Hello CMIT North family! I first would like to thank all the parents for all of their support during this season. I also want to thank our softball team for all of their hard work and dedication, during this season! We had an awesome season, the team posted a winning record of 3-1-1. This is our second winning season for the Lady Tigers! I want to thank coach McKenley, for the outstanding coaching job that she did, and continuing to build a winning softball program here at CMIT-North Middle School.
Unfortunately, we did not qualify for the playoffs, but again we had an outstanding season! Congratulations to Analis Brown, Juliana Hinkle, A'vielle Lewis, Khaleah Faulkner, Kendal Smith, Warner Brown, Gabriella Romero, Alanis Hernandez-Rosales, Olivia Thompson, Shiloh Boone, Zyion Metzger, Christianna McNair, Madison Boone, and the rest of the team! I want to thank all of these fine outstanding student athletes. You all are greatly appreciated for continuing the success of this softball program!

We are excited to announce the upcoming Cheerleading tryouts. Tryouts will be held on October 23rd through October 27th from 3:00 pm to 5 pm. All participants must attend the entire week . Tryouts present an excellent opportunity for students to showcase their cheerleader skills and potentially become part of our school's cheerleading team. Please ensure that your child arrives on time and is picked-up on time. Participants picked-up late will not be eligible for final tryout on Friday 27, 2023.
