A Message from Principal King
Mustang commUNITY,
I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the incredible first week of school we have had.
I want to extend a special thank you to our LAMARvelous staff and faculty. Your hard work and commitment to our students is truly commendable. From meticulously planning engaging lessons to providing a nurturing and supportive environment, you have gone above and beyond to ensure our students feel valued and inspired to learn. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and I am grateful for each and every one of you.
To our students, thank you for your eagerness to learn and your positive attitudes. Your enthusiasm is contagious, and it is a joy to see you actively participating in class and embracing new challenges. I am confident that this will be a successful and rewarding semester for each and every one of you.
I would also like to express my gratitude to our parents and guardians. Your support and involvement in your child's education are invaluable. Thank you for entrusting us with their learning and for partnering with us to create a positive and enriching school experience.
As we move forward into the rest of the school year, I am excited about the opportunities and possibilities that lie ahead. Together, we will continue to foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where every student can thrive.
Just a few reminders to ensure our success:
- Students must attend school regularly and arrive on time to all classes. We need them in the classroom and learning.
- Students must have their badges on at all times. Badges are to be worn around the neck or in the upper torso.
- Electronic devices and phones must be put away during transitions and in classes, unless designated as needed for instructional purposes.
- Students must be in dress code at all times. Please leave the blankets at home. If you are cold, bring a jacket.
- Students should not open the exterior doors for anyone, or prop open for any reason. Students who violate this will receive consequences.
- Remember, vaping is not allowed. Students possessing, selling, giving, delivering, or using an e-cigarette/vape face an automatic alternative placement.
Once again, thank you for an amazing first week of school. I am truly grateful to be a part of such a remarkable school community. Here's to a LAMARvelous second semester.

Safety Update to Prevent Unauthorized Entry🚨
Dear LCHS Families,
As your principal, I remain committed to the safety and security of our campus and would like to request your cooperation and support with our students, which includes some important reminders about our visitor check-in process and consequences for failing to adhere to these procedures.
It’s important to understand that the visitor check-in process is in place to safeguard the well-being of everyone within our school community. Allowing unauthorized individuals into the school or using the wrong entrance poses a potential risk to the safety of our students and staff. All campus visitors must check-in at the campus front office. Throughout the building, all students and staff members must have their badge visible and should also use primary entrances.
Recently, it has come to our attention that some students are violating the visitor check-in process and allowing individuals to enter the campus through side doors and back doors. Beginning on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, any student permitting individuals into the school without proper check-in or through the wrong door will face disciplinary consequences, which will result in a three-day out-of-school suspension and/or other measures deemed necessary by campus administration.
To maintain a safe and secure learning environment for all, we kindly request your support in reinforcing these security measures with your student. Please contact me at sierra.king02@lcisd.org if you have any questions or concerns. We appreciate your partnership in upholding our safety standards.
Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Sierra King
