To the Hoyteniuk family. Brant Eugene Hoyteniuk of Vegreville passed away January 14 in Edmonton.

Over the Christmas holidays, a sibling of one of our Chesterton Academy students was involved in an unforeseeable, tragic accident. He died on January 14th at the Stollery Hospital of his injuries. Brant Hoyteniuk was a beloved Grade 5 student at St. Martin's school in Vegreville, AB. Anton is currently a grade 11 student with SILC Chesterton Academy.

Lord, We pray for the Hoyeniuk family at this time. Please grant them a peace that surpasses all understanding.

"Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted" (Matthew 5:4) "My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever" (Psalm 73:26)

Father God, strenght them, let the family sense your presence.

All Diploma Exams start at 9:00 am please come at 8:30 am to get set up.

Text Book Return INFO

As Semester I is wrapping up, students should be returning their textbooks back to SILC. To avoid a "textbook replacement charge" please return all books when finished. We cannot hand out Semester II books until all other books are returned to the school.

We are open from 8am-4pm Monday through Friday. If you cannot make it in those hours, there is a "Book Drop" located outside the student door. The picture to the right shows you where to drop them. Please don't forget to put your name insdie the cover on a sticky note. Thank you :)

Report cards are coming up quickly! If you are behind, please try to get as many assignments in as you can. Literacy groups are cancelled for this week. We will be having an online presentation called, Climate Clues on Tuesday, January 23 at 11:00am. This presentation is for all grades.

PLEASE JOIN THE SILC STAFF and Students @ 1:00 pm on Feb. 14th at OLPH Parish, for an Ash Wednesday Mass. Please do not wear pink, we will celebrate Valentines day on the 13th.
