From the Principal's Desk
November 7, 2022
Greetings FWAFA Family,
Hope your week is off to a great start!
Congratulations to the NEW Texas Thespians Student Ambassadors for 2022-2023! The role of the Texas Thespians Student Ambassadors is to empower student voices to advocate and promote Texas Theatre Education. FWAFA’s Meagan McMillin was chosen from 27 applicants for the team of ten (10) Student Ambassadors! Meagan will be tasked to speak to administrators and legislators to further the cause of theatre programs throughout Texas schools. We are so proud of Meagan and excited that she is in the inaugural Class of 2022 Ambassadors!
Lots of fun things happening at our school in the upcoming weeks! Check it out below.
Have a magnificently Magical Week!
Creatively yours,
Dr. Jackson

FWAFA Dance Celebration Vendor Market Information
Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts Department of Dance is hosting the FWAFA Dance Celebration Vendor Market to accompany our annual Fall Performances for students in grades 3-12.
Dance Celebration is a family-friendly event featuring 3 separate performances, providing a wonderful opportunity for our families to come together and enjoy dance, our school, and each other.
If you would like to be a vendor, please fill out this form: https://forms.gle/73npSG4QU5uamDd48

We will have two large rooms where vendors can sell their products. These rooms are located between our auditorium and student performer pick up which will ensure that our guests visit the Market.
Vendors can reserve a space (or two) to sell their products. Spaces are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. All items must be family and student-friendly. There is a fee to reserve the space so vendors can keep all profits made from their sales that evening (although donations to our department based on your success would be greatly appreciated).
All vendor fees will go directly to student expenses for our trip to National High School Dance Festival in Pittsburgh in February! Thank you for your support!

We need your help. We have spent 4 months trying to find bus drivers to drive for our events, field trips, and performances. We have tried Facebook ads, Indeed, Linked-In, specific education websites, and nothing has materialized. We've had several interviews and just haven't found the right people.
We need your help. Please, if you or someone you know would be willing to drive the busses for our amazing students, we would love to talk to you.
If we can't find someone(s), then we might be in a position to charge for field trips and performances to rent charter busses.
If you know someone, please forward them our HR Specialist, Mica Wolf's email at mica.wolf@artsacademics.org.
The position is as-needed because we don't have a normal bus route. The pay is competitive. If you're willing to be trained, we might be able to help pay for your training.
The details are all below. Please, help us make this happen!
