Math & Literacy Night & Military Family Info Session
Next Thursday on March 13th we will be hosting our annual Math & Literay Night. The event will start @ 5:00 and last until 6:30. Families will park in the front parking lot
This night features a blend of math focused games while also giving families the opportunity to visit our Spring Book Fair. There will also be free food and drinks available to to those who join us.
We hope to see as many families as possible next Thursday, so we can all join in on some fun with our games and take advantage of the great literature offered at our book fair, while enjoying some free food!
Color Run this Saturday!
While it is to late for ordering a shirt, families can still sign up to run using the information in the flyer below. The cost for running is 5 dollars. Along with the run there will be food and other vendors, along with raffle prizes.
Speaking of raffle prizes we are still need a few more to have the quantity we would like to have. If you can donate or want information on how to join in on the fun in general you can email Ms. Spolski @ austin.spolski@kcsdschools.net.
We hope to see many of you on Saturday for a good run and even more fun!
Final Week of Third Quater w/Volleyball Tournament
We want to remind our families that this is the final week of the third quarter. Grades will be finalized this week, and we strongly encourage families to talk with their students about getting any work completed that is still able to be turned in, and in general to finish strong.
To help with this process we are resharing our Family Resource Folder, which includes information regarding Canvas, and in our handbook policies for late work and grading in general.
With the end of the quarter our related arts teachers are coordinating a volleyball tournament for each grade level. Students who want to play must pay $2 the day on Thursday to join their team. There will also be concessions for all students attending. These funds will go to support our awards and other materials needed for field day.
State Department Parent Surveys
Good morning! The SCDE Parent Climate Survey will be available beginning Monday for guardians to complete online. These surveys are due April 11, 2025. Last year we had 165 guardians complete the survey, and we want to set a goal of at least 175 surveys, but would love to get to at least 200! Thank you for your assistance wiht this important feedback!

Please Help Keep Our Students Safe & Model How to Follow Expectations!!!
We are asking again that families please adhere to our drop off and pick up expectations, by not stopping at the entrace of the school or other areas that are not designated for drop off and pick up purposes. Mr. Faulkenberry has addressed this repeatedly in the past including in the video linked HERE. Pictured to the right is an example from just this past week of this issue continuing. Please work with us to keep our students & other drivers safe, along with modeling the importance of following the school's safety expectations in general. Thank you.
