Strive Center for Autism - July 16, 2021
June Leaves
In June, our learners acquired a total of 167 new skills!
That brings the total for the year up to 1,094 new skills!
We are so proud of every one of those skills - thank you parents, for trusting us to help your children learn and grow every day!
Ending Early Release on Fridays

Alyssa has a degree in Hospitality and tourism with a minor in business. She is currently in the process of getting her graduate degree in ABA.

Children's Masks Voluntary
If parents choose to have their child continue wearing a mask indoors during group activities, parents need to reach out to their BCBA by Monday, July 19th to indicate this preference. Otherwise, we will allow the children to stop wearing their masks next week.
We plan to evaluate this change for two weeks and then we will consider whether to move staff mask wearing to voluntary. Thank you to all the parents who were able to share their opinion in our survey. Please reach out to your BCBA or Amy Hund with any questions or concerns.

Food Desensitization Program
We will provide a new food to try each week and there is no requirement to participate in the program. Each family will need to complete the permission slip for their child to participate. If your child has allergies or dietary restrictions, please reach out to your BCBA and we can make sure he can still participate.
Regardless of your child's participation in this program, you will still need to send 2 snacks daily and your child's regular lunch. The food provided in this program will not replace your child's regular meals and snacks.
If you did not receive your permission slip, please reach out to your BCBA and we'll be sure to get one to you. We are really looking forward to beginning this program during the week of July 26th.
