Archery Brag!
Congratulations to Compass Team 1 for earning 1st place at the Border Wars Tournament as well as Oliver Gutshall earning 1st place, Emerson Bowen earning 2nd place, and Cooper Matteson earning 2nd place. There were archery teams competing from 9 surrounding states at this tournament. We're so proud of all of you!
We have a trophy to add to the trophy case and 24 medals for the archers on Team 1. We also received a $1500 check for the Platte County Archery Program!
* Some of our former Compass students who are now on the PCMS Archery Team 1, also brought home a 1st place finish at the Border Wars tournament! Way to go archers!
Girl Scout Initiative!
Compass is working with a local Girl Scout Troop in order to help our school community recycle!
Check out the video, made by this amazing Troop! We will begin recycling our milk cartons soon!
Happy LEAP Day!
On February 29, 2024, we will have a fun spirit day to celebrate LEAP Day!
Please wear green or dress like a frog on this day! *this is optional*
Students (and adults) will be on a Frog-Find during the day. If any student finds a frog, they can turn them into the office and get a fun reward. 😀

- January 10 Inclement Weather Day - Will be made up on Friday, May 24
- January 16, 19, and 23 Virtual Learning Days - Will not need to be made up

Birthday Treats
We believe that birthdays are an important time in a child’s life, and Compass students will receive a Birthday Book in celebration of their special day. However, for several reasons including increased food allergies, preservation of the instructional day, and student equality, students are not allowed to bring treats from home or a store or have flowers/balloons or other items delivered to the classroom for birthdays, going-away parties, or other personal events. If a student receives a delivery at school, the student will be notified to come to the office to view the item. Parents will be responsible for transporting the item home. Birthday party invitations may only be distributed if invitations are given to every student in the class.
No Tax Rate Increase Prop C Waiver and Levy Transfer Informational Meetings
This question will be placed on the April 2, 2024 ballot. Pending voter approval, this proposal will allow the District to allocate resources to better attract and retain quality staff, and enhance safety and security. For more information, click here, or attend an Informational Meeting:
- Tuesday, February 27, 2024, 6pm, Platte Purchase Middle School
- Wednesday, March 13, 2024, 6pm, Platte County High School
