Meet the Newest Inductees into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame
Congratulations to OHS Athletic Director Yancey Little as well as Ozark's 2005 and 2006 Girls State Champion Basketball teams who were inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame during a luncheon on Dec. 13. Little was recognized for his immense success as a coach and athletic director for Ozark including coaching the back-to-back state champion girls basketball teams in 2005 and 2006!
We are so lucky to have Yancey continuing to guide and support Ozark athletics and activities, as well as such an amazing group of alumni who have helped build Ozark's reputation for excellence both on the court and in the classroom!
STAFF RECOGNITION
Ozark School Police Honored at CCSO Banquet
Ozark School District police were honored Dec. 12 at the Christian County Sheriff’s Office annual Christmas party and awards ceremony with three service awards and four life-saving awards.
“Our school resource officers are the most dedicated and humble group of individuals you will ever meet,” said Kim Fitzpatrick, who oversees the District’s school police as the executive director of student services. “I am extremely proud of them for not only these accomplishments but for what they do every single day to keep our students and staff safe.”

“It’s humbling for literacy leaders around the state to choose me for this award,” Carson said. “It’s my pleasure to work for our students and staff around best practice in literacy.”
Teacher Proud Tuesday
This week was #TeacherProud Tuesday! Ozark is excited to join other school districts across the region in celebrating teachers on the second Tuesday of each month. This week we honored Jeanette Middleton, math teacher at Finley River School, and Lauren Constantino, second grade teacher at North Elementary.
- Jeanette is such an important asset to the FRS program. There is nothing she can't do and she is one of the strongest advocates for students. Her ability to demystify math and empower students is impressive across all the coursework she teaches. Her talents don't stop in the classroom either as you can often find her driving the bus for FRS field trips!
- Lauren capitalizes on her strong student relationships to drive instruction through stagecraft and engagement. She is constantly working collaboratively with her second grade team to plan lessons that meet the needs of every learner and has specifically raised the bar in creating lessons strong in enrichment.
