Hello Sundance Families!

We had another great week at Sundance! Our Wildcats celebrated the Hour of Code, engaging in fun and educational coding activities. Check out code.org for more resources you can use at home. The highlight of the week was undoubtedly the amazing second-grade performance, Character Matters. It was nice to see so many families present, cheering on our talented students. Thanks for being a part of these special moments! Please take a moment to watch information about Kid Inventor's Day below. We can't wait to see the fun arcade games in January.

• OCIS Contracts (Vacations): If your child will be absent for three days or more, we ask that you email abrackman@powayusd.com to request an OCIS contract. Please submit request at least 5 days in advance so that materials can be prepared.

❄️WINTERFEST - Thursday, Dec. 14th - 5pm-8pm

Let’s get into the holiday spirit and celebrate December! Join us for a night of singing, a hot cocoa bar, food and concessions, arts and crafts, games, and shopping! The choir will start off the event with a performance at 5:15. We will also have vendors selling different goods like handmade jewelry, ornaments, knit accessories, bath, body, & skincare, books, and Sundance Spiritwear. Bach to Rock from Rancho Penasquitos and Gyminny Kids will also have booths at Winterfest. We still need a few more adult and high school volunteers so please sign up here.

🎁Holiday Gift Card Drive (Now until 12/18)

Join us as we come together to give JOY and lend a helping hand to our very own Sundance families this holiday season! We are accepting gift cards to assist with groceries (Vons, Stater Bros, Albertsons), gas, stores (Target and Walmart), and Amazon. Please drop off gift cards and their activation receipts to Joni at the office by Monday, December 18th! Thank you for your generosity and support!

Foundation Monthly Meeting - Monday, Dec. 11th at 7 pm in the Library & on Zoom

The December Foundation meeting is THIS Monday and everyone is invited to participate. To ensure a positive and respectful atmosphere we outlined these participation guidelines for everyone to follow. Hope to see you in the library or on Zoom.

REMINDER - Butter Braids - Pick up on Dec. 12th @ 2 pm!

If you ordered Butter Braids please pick them up on Dec. 12th at 2 pm on campus. The 5th Grade class raised $3,100 to support their 5th Grade Promotion, BizTown field trip and more end of year activities! Thank you to EVERYONE for the support of our 5th graders!
