National 4-H Week Oct 2-8 2022!!

Lets gear up to celebrate National 4-H Week with a contest! Clubs will submit a 1 page pictures & paragraphs highlight of a club project for the 2022 4-H year! All entries will be put in a drawing for a STEM Challenge Kit! We will draw a winner on Oct. 10, 2022.

Entries can be emailed to Tammy @tcavanaugh2@unl.edu, dropped off at the Extension Office or mailed in.

FIRE SAFETY DAY FOR YOUTH HOSTED BY DOUGLAS-SARPY 4-H

This event is open to all youth. Fire Safety Day will be held at the Douglas-Sarpy Extension Office at 8015 W Center Rd. Omaha, NE 68124.

4-H Foundation Trail Ride

This year’s 4-H Foundation Trail Ride will be on October 14-16. Join us for an enjoyable, guided ride through the scenic Nebraska National Forest near Halsey. Nebraska Youth Beef Leadership Symposium

The 18th annual Nebraska Youth Beef Leadership Symposium will be held at the University of Nebraska- Lincoln Animal Science Complex on December 2-4, 2022. Go to http://go.unl.edu/nybls for more information and to apply for the event by October 1.

2022-2023 4-H Enrollment

The current 4-H fiscal year will end on September 30, 2022 and the new 4-H Enrollment for the 2022-2023 4-H year will open around October 17th. We will let you know when enrollment is open!

4-H STEM Challenge

The 4-H STEM Challenge, Explorers of the Deep, focuses on the mysteries and adventures of ocean exploration–with robots! Young people learn how to use science, technology, engineering, and math to explore Earth’s Ocean and how it relates to all life on the planet. Explorers of the Deep consists of three activities that youth can do all at once or individually, making it highly adaptable for classrooms, after-school programs, clubs, and more! 4-H Foundation Charity Shoot

The Nebraska 4-H Foundation Charity Shoot will be on Thursday, September 29, at the Oak Creek Sporting Club in Brainard. Proceeds support 4-H shooting sports, camps, and leadership training programs, as well as national recognition and awards tris for youth. Nebraska Diamond Clover Program

The Nebraska 4-H Diamond Clover program encourages 4-H youth to engage in a variety of programs, projects, and activities that will enable youth to acquire skills and abilities that will prepare them for success in the future. The program is designed to reach and recognize all youth engaged in 4-H, from club members and campers to school enrichment, afterschool, and special interest program participants. Cass County 4-H Ambassador Program

The primary goal of the Cass County 4-H Ambassador Program is to develop leadership skills and building communication skills to be utilized in an advocacy role for the Cass County 4-H Program as well as in other aspects of the Ambassador’s life.

Through this program, 4-H staff members are committed to offering you:
• Increased understanding of your leadership skills and abilities
• Increased confidence in yourself
• Better understanding of the Cass County 4-H Program
