Here are the choices for school lunch this coming week. School lunch is free. All your child needs to do is to tell their teacher their lunch choice in the morning.

There is no school on:

• Friday, May 28
• Monday, May 31
• Friday, June 4

The last day of school is Thursday, June10!

I am completely blown away by this resource I found this week. New York University has a web site that has glossaries for common academic vocabulary--meaning words used in school--for 40 languages! There are glossaries for elementary, middle, and high school subjects, including language arts, algebra, geometry, calculus, general math, general science, biology, chemistry, physics, social studies, history, and government. If you or your friends and family are multilingual and currently in K-12 school or college, this resource might be helpful. These might also be helpful for parents helping their children with school work. Please share!

In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, Milwaukee is having its first Asian Restaurant Week. Check out the web site at Urban Milwaukee, where you may see a participating restaurant that you would like to try! It features Shorewood's own Nana Asian Fusion and Sushi Bar, as well as a favorite of some Lake Bluff students, Pho Viet in Greenfield. Asian Restaurant Week is May 16-May 22.
