Welcome back and I hope you had a fantastic summer! The Jacob family has been more than blessed this summer but are excited to get back to routine.
There are so many great things happening at MCE! Everyone at MCE has been busy getting the building ready to welcome our students and their families back to school. The teachers have been working to get their classrooms ready to welcome our learners as well as preparing lessons and fun activities to help them learn and grow!
There are many new faces at MCE this year. Please help us welcome our new staff members. They are excited to meet you and your children!

Quick Notes
- Doors open at 7:30 AM.
- Class begins at 7:50 AM.
- If you child arrives after 7:50 they need to be signed in by a parent or guardian.
- Early bus dismisses at 3:35.
- Pick-ups dismiss at 3:45 followed by walkers.
- Late busses dismiss around 4:05 (as they arrive at MCE)
- If your child's afternoon routine has changed, please call the office as early as possible.
- Other procedures are detailed in the MCE Handbook- found at the bottom of this newsletter.
- Kindergarten students will be participating in soft placement again this year. There will be additional information provided regarding this practice at Meet & Greet.
What's Been Happening at MCE?
Facility Updates
The major maintenance and custodial project this summer has been having the gym floor refinished. All classrooms are cleaned and ready to welcome staff and students. Thank you to Ms. Tanya and Ms. Mary for cleaning and disinfecting our building!
School Supplies
Thank you to the generous donation of many of community businesses, we were able to bulk order many of our school supplies. Some of the bulk school supplies have started arriving and are being sorted by grade level.
At this time, pre-school students only need to provide a backpack.
What's Coming Up at MCE?
Registration Day: August 8
MCE is hosting Student Registration from noon until 8:00 pm on August 8th. Please bring proof of residency and immunization records to get your child registered for the 2023-2024 school year. The August 8th in-person registration is for any student (PreK-5) who has not been fully registered online. If you know someone who is new to our school district please share this date with them. We would love to welcome them!

Meet & Greet: August 17
MCE Meet and Greet will be held on August 17th, 5:00-7:00 pm. In an attempt to provide ample parking and less crowded hallways and classrooms, families with last names beginning in letters A-M @ 5:00, and N-Z @ 6:00. Class lists will be available at this time. Please bring any school supplies at this time. If you have any questions please call the office at 564-3711. Everyone at MCE looks forward to seeing you!
