Midsummer Parent eNote Number 2
Parents and Students,
With so much going on at the high school, it felt appropriate to share out an additional mid-summer eNote. A reminder…school starts on Tuesday, August 23 at 8:00 a.m. See our daily schedule below. Students will receive more information about the details of this schedule during week 1:
Construction Update The new building continues to take shape as we prepare to receive students. A reminder that our students will take classes in three different locations: the new three-story brick building, the 300/400 building, and the Commons/Flyers Gym areas. Significant progress is made every day and our contractors remain confident that we will be on schedule. Unfortunately, the tight window may impact our ability to give tours or to let students walk their schedules prior to the start of the year. We will be working on a video tour to help ensure everyone has a general idea of how to navigate the campus before the first day. Stay tuned and this will be shared out as soon as we are finished.
9th Grade Orientation The orientation for all 9th grade students is scheduled for August 10th from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm. Students should enter through the Commons and the orientation will start in the Main Gym. The Commons is in our easternmost parking lot. Look for the big pillars and that is where you enter. The purpose of this orientation is to make the transition from middle school to high school a positive one. Seniors, juniors and sophomores will be serving as leaders and mentors to the freshmen. Large and small group activities are designed to address students’ needs and concerns in an enjoyable manner. Lunch will be provided by Southwest Foodservice Excellence. Wear comfortable clothes and don’t bring all your stuff...travel light! This event is for students only. If your child has a special need, please let us know If you have any questions, please call Link Crew Coordinator Mrs. Kershaw at 314-729-2400, ext.1331
Help Us Know Your Students We would love to know your child as well as possible so we can better serve them. Many of our students do not go by the name in our electronic systems. Some students go by their middle names, for example. As a principal, it is important to me to know your students and their individual needs. THIS FORM can help us do that. Please feel free to fill out this form for each of your children so we can know them just a little bit better. Share only what you feel needs to be shared.

Pandemic Response Plan Update This June, the Lindbergh Schools Board of Education voted to approve an updated Pandemic Response Plan that will equip the district to respond in the future, in the event of an airborne pandemic virus.
This revised plan replaces the Green Light Plan, which has guided school operations through recent years. It provides an overview of the tools our district has available to keep students and staff safe and healthy, and is located under the “Health Services” section of the district website.
School Counselors Please see the list below for the LHS School Counselors. Please note the change to our counseling assignments. Because of the addition of a new counselor, students are now assigned to their counselors alphabetically by last name.
