Week of February 26, 2024
Thank you for reading our weekly Smore!
Please be sure to notice our March into Learning event flyer. We are looking forward to a fun afternoon/evening with our parents!
March 7, 4:00-6:00 pm.
We had an amazing Kindness Week at ERD!
ACAP Testing Begins in March!
Our teachers are working hard to close the learning gaps, but as parents, you can help as well! For students in grades 2-5 (those are the testing grades) please work with your children at home to give them the best possible edge on the tests. Contact your child's teacher and ask what areas need the most attention. If you have your child's latest iReady math and reading score reports, you can determine the deficits from those reports. You can also ask your child's teacher for activities that can help close the gaps. And as always, encourage your child to read, read, read! Take turns reading with your child, ask questions to determine comprehension, and have your child write about what they read.
Be sure to send your child to school every day unless they are ill. Please be on time and limit the number of early dismissals to emergencies only. This will also increase their chances of doing their best on the test.
