Wall High School Knightly News
AUGUST 2023
A Message From Dr. Righi
Itโs my pleasure to welcome you to another school year and let you know some important, upcoming dates.
First, our 9th grade orientation is finalized and should prove to be informative. All incoming 9th graders and their parents will meet on Wednesday, August 23rd, in the High School auditorium at 10:00am. *Please have your child sit with you in the auditorium*
After a brief meeting, the students will leave to receive their schedules and tour of the building while the parents get to hear a presentation on vaping.
The faculty will start the year with two staff-development days on September 1st and September 5th. *Students start school on Wednesday, September 6th, with a full-day schedule*
Back to School Night will be held on Thursday, September 14th. More information will be sent to you shortly.
Please consider joining us for our Parent Advisory Council (PAC) meetings. These meetings will offer you a chance to hear information regarding school programs and other important information directly from the High School Administration. The PAC meeting schedule can be found here.
Weโve been working hard this summer to improve the way in which we provide support for our students and weโre very excited to get off to a great start on September 6th.
Enjoy the remaining days of summer!
-Dr. Righi

โ Important Information โ
Monday, August 21st at 3:30 p.m.: Schedules Released
Valid reasons for which a student may request a change of schedule include:
An error or omission in data entry
Meeting a graduation requirement (seniors)
Course failures, which prohibit progress to the next sequential course
Successful summer school attendance allowing progress to the next sequential course
In order to honor, where possible, the studentโs original course selection requests
Any student requesting a change of schedule must do so by Friday, September 15th. The dropped course will not become a part of the studentโs permanent record. A student dropping a course after September 15th will have the course printed on his/her permanent record. The course will appear on the studentโs transcript as either Withdraw Pass (WP) or Withdraw Fail (WF) based upon the grade at the time of dropping the course. This policy for changes will be followed at all times.
