Girls will build their knowledge of Space Science, develop their STEM Identity and learn about and interact with women working in STEM Career fields.

The session starts in January and ends with a week long summer camp.

The Latinx KidLit Book Festival is a virtual celebration of Latinx KidLit authors, illustrators, and books for all readers and educators. The festival will open its virtual doors (via YouTube) from December 4-5, 2020, and present two free days of keynote sessions, Q&A events, and panels with your favorite Latinx authors and illustrators of picture books, middle grade, young adult, graphic novel, and poetry. The sessions are geared towards readers and educators everywhere. Everyone is welcome!

Every episode features a new lesson that blends computer science with real-world topics. One day, students will use Dance Party to get creative and express themselves. Another day, they’ll explore environmental sustainability with Artificial Intelligence.

Play against a child champion!

Brewington Hardaway wants to play YOU. Brewington is known as the top-rated 10-year old in the country (even though he's 11 now)!

Brew logs on once a week to play with as many ChessKids as he can. His CK account is "BrewMaster" -- make sure you send him a friend request to be able to challenge him! This month, Brew is playing Mondays at 4:00PM Pacific/7:00PM EST. To keep up with his schedule join the club "Official Brew's Crew."

Brew also has a show with FunMasterMike: FunMasterMike and the BrewMaster. They co-host, accepting challenges from ChessKids and playing hand-and-brain with each other. To play Brew during the show, send him a friend request and challenge him while the show is live on twitch.tv/chesskid and youtube.com/chesskidofficial. Past episodes are here.

BibloTech is planning a safe, family-friendly, socially distanced event, to be held on March 13th, 2021 at the Will Naylor Smith River Walk Plaza.

There are some exciting changes planned for this year’s festival, including winners in numerous categories such as Best Stop Motion Animation, Best Comedy Performance and Best Musical Score, among others.

It’s time to Submit Your 90-Second Newbery Films! We are accepting submissions through January 15, 2021, but you don’t have to wait! The submission link is already active on BiblioTech’s website, complete with all the information you need to make an amazing 90-Second Newbery video and compete for cash prizes for your school library or non-profit. Making movies is a wonderful way to spend the holidays!
