COVID-19 Saliva Screening Schedule for the Week of January 18, 2021

Due to no school on Monday and Tuesday this week, the saliva return schedule will be condensed. All participating families/staff should already have their saliva collection supplies for this week. If not, please contact your school office and/or email Nancy Mogk at nmogk@d41.org.

The schedule for this week is as follows:


Tuesday, January 19

Saliva sample drop off at all schools for all grade levels from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m


Wednesday, January 20

All students who attend in the AM, in all grades, will bring their samples to school.


Thursday, January 21

All students who attend in the PM, in all grades, will bring their samples to school.

Questions & Clarifications
Thank you to those who have reached out with questions. For the sake of clarification, here are the key points to know about saliva testing and returning samples:

  • Regardless of the testing schedule for the week, each child should return only 1 sample per week using the tube that is barcoded specifically for that student. Do not have your children use each other's barcoded tubes.
  • For next week, because Monday is a holiday and Tuesday is an Institute Day, we made Tuesday a sample drop off day for any family who prefers to drop off. If you drop off your child's sample on Tuesday, there is no need to send another sample to school for that child on Wednesday or Thursday.
  • If you do not drop off a sample on Tuesday, students who attend for their in-person instruction in the AM should bring their sample to school on Wednesday.
  • If you do not drop off a sample on Tuesday, students who attend for their in-person instruction in the PM should bring their sample to school on Thursday.

Finally, if you forget to return your sample on Tuesday or Wednesday, it is ok to return your sample on Thursday, even if it is not your assigned day.
