H.E.S. HAPPENINGS
Parent/Family Edition
NOVEMBER 2023
Greetings, Hopkins Elementary Families,
As we enter the month of November, it's a time for reflection and giving thanks. We want to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for partnering with us in your child's education. Your unwavering support and involvement are vital in creating a nurturing and enriching learning environment.
One crucial aspect of your child's education we would like to highlight is the importance of daily attendance. Every minute of classroom instruction counts, and regular attendance is essential for academic success. We kindly request that you ensure your child attends school promptly and consistently.
If your child must be absent, we kindly ask that you submit a doctor's or parent note within 48 hours. This helps us maintain accurate attendance records and ensure that your child's absence is properly documented. We greatly appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
Please note that our instructional day begins promptly at 7:30 am. If you arrive at 7:30 am or after, we kindly request that you bring your child to the front office and sign them in. Dropping off your child without accompanying them into the building poses a safety concern, and we want to ensure the well-being of all our students.
We understand that mornings can be hectic, but your attention to this procedure ensures a smooth and secure start to the school day for everyone involved.
As always, we are here to support you and your child's educational journey. If you have any questions or concerns or need assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us. We value your partnership and look forward to continued success together.
Wishing you a month filled with gratitude, reflection, and academic growth.
Warm regards,
Audrey White-Garner, M Ed.
Principal
