Monday March 11
The COMPASS Survey will be completed by all SJHS students on Monday, March 11 in Block 2. This is an opportunity for SJHS students to contribute their experiences and ideas with healthy eating, physical activity, sedentary behaviour, smoking, alcohol and drug-use, academic achievement, experiences of discrimination, and mental health. The COMPASS survey data will help guide programming and improvements at SJHS. Thank you to all SJHS students for completing the COMPASS Survey.

On Friday, March 15, the Central Alberta Sexual Assault Support Centre will be presenting the Responding with Respect (RwR) workshop to English 20 classes. RwR is a workshop focusing on responding respectfully to healthy and unhealthy dating relationship breakdowns. RwR focuses around a workbook of tools and tip sheets for students to keep that helps them to understand relationship breakdowns, how to end a relationship respectfully, and helping ourselves and others.
Athletics
SJHS is proud to offer Rugby with Coach Allan and coach Chelsey.
Mr. Wolf and Mrs. Girgis are encouraging students to come and take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to learn more about the sport and where it may take you. We have national teams that compete world wide in both 7’s and 15’s. Please communicate with either one of us if you are interested.

Suicide Crisis Helpline - A new 24/7 mental health support helpline has been launched nationwide as of yesterday. The three-digit number for suicide prevention is 9-8-8. The helpline is funded by the government of Canada. Check out the following website link for more information and to answer any questions you or someone else may have on this excellent resource.
